There is a woman on an internet parenting group I’m part of who recent gave birth to a premature baby. He was only three pounds at birth. He’s since had strep B exposure, possible meningitis, a blood transfusion and is now hemorrhaging from the brain and lungs.
My thoughts are with this baby and his family as he fights for his life. As I plan for River’s first birthday, I feel sad that they must live hour to hour. It reminds me to give thanks for River’s health. There is nothing more valuable than that.
